Ingredients
  

For the deviled egg filling

  • 6 large large eggs boiled to perfection for a creamy filling
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise adding richness and smoothness
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard delivering tangy notes
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice providing a zesty brightness
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika infusing warmth and color
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper delivering a kick of heat

For the Cajun shrimp topping

  • 6 large shrimp peeled and deveined, ensuring tender texture
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning for that unmistakable flavor infusion
  • 1 tablespoon butter adding a rich finish

For garnish

  • to taste Hot sauce for drizzling to amp up the heat

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Place the eggs in a medium saucepan and cover them with cold water.
  • Bring them to a boil over medium heat. Once boiling, cover the pan, remove it from heat, and let the eggs sit for about 10-12 minutes.
  • Drain the eggs, rinse them under cold water to stop the cooking process, and peel off the shells gently.
  • Slice the eggs in half and carefully remove the yolks, placing them in a small bowl.
  • Mash the yolks with a fork until crumbly, then mix in the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper until smooth.

Cooking shrimp

  • In a small skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.
  • Add the shrimp seasoned with Cajun seasoning. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and are fully cooked.

Assembly

  • Spoon or pipe the creamy yolk mixture back into each egg white half.
  • Top each deviled egg with one cooked shrimp, drizzle with hot sauce, and sprinkle with fresh parsley.

Notes

The eggs can be boiled and prepared in under 30 minutes. Chill the completed deviled eggs before serving to let the flavors meld beautifully.
