Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, sautéing until softened (about 3-4 minutes).
  • Add ground beef and cook until browned, then drain excess fat.
  • Stir in BBQ sauce, smoked paprika, chili powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  • Pour in beef broth and milk, then bring the mixture to a simmer.
  • Add elbow macaroni and stir to combine, allowing the pasta to absorb flavors.

Cooking

  • Cover the pot and cook for 10-12 minutes or until the pasta is tender and most of the liquid has absorbed.
  • Stir in shredded cheddar cheese, mixing until melted and creamy.
  • Ladle into bowls and garnish with green onions if desired.

Notes

For best results, drain excess fat from the beef. Taste as you go for optimal seasoning. Use freshly grated cheese and don’t skip garnishes for added flavor.
