  • 1 large egg Binding agent for cheese mixture.
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped Brings a burst of color and flavor.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Essential for seasoning.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the ground beef. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic together for 2-3 minutes until the onion is soft and fragrant.
  • Stir in the marinara sauce and season with salt and pepper. Let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes.
  • In a separate bowl, mix ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, and fresh parsley. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  • Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions, drain and set aside.

Layering & Cooking

  • In the crockpot, start layering by adding a small amount of sauce at the bottom.
  • Lay down a few noodles, then spread a layer of the cheese mixture over the noodles, followed by another layer of sauce. Repeat layers, ending with sauce and a sprinkle of cheese on top.
  • Cover the crockpot and set to low heat. Cook for 4-6 hours until the lasagna is bubbly and the cheese on top is melted and golden.
  • Garnish with extra fresh parsley just before serving.

Notes

Tips: Don’t skip the sauce at the bottom for moisture and to prevent sticking. Ensure even layering for consistent cooking. Keep the lid closed to maintain heat.
