Instructions
 

Cooking Pasta

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add pasta and cook until al dente according to package instructions, reserving 1 cup of pasta water before draining.

Searing Steak

  • Pat the steak dry with paper towels, season with salt and black pepper, allowing for browning.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear steak for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned.
  • Lower the heat to medium and add butter and garlic, tossing steak pieces for 1 minute until garlic is fragrant.
  • Transfer steak and pan juices to a plate.

Making Sauce

  • In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of butter, then pour in heavy cream, scraping browned bits for flavor. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  • Stir in parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and optional red pepper flakes until the sauce is smooth.

Combining

  • Toss in drained pasta along with reserved pasta water until the sauce coats the pasta.
  • Return the steak and juices back to the skillet, tossing everything together. Adjust seasoning if needed and sprinkle parsley on top.

Serving

  • Serve immediately and enjoy the comforting flavors of the dish.
