Ingredients

For the cake

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine crushed chocolate cookies and melted butter until well mixed.
  • Press the cookie mixture firmly into the bottom of a greased 9x13 inch baking dish to form the crust.
  • Bake the crust for 10 minutes, then let it cool completely.

Layering

  • Spread softened vanilla ice cream evenly over the cooled crust.
  • Drizzle hot fudge sauce generously over the ice cream.

Freezing

  • Freeze the cake for at least 4 hours or until fully set.

Serving

  • Top with whipped cream and garnish with chocolate shavings or sprinkles before serving.

For a lighter version, consider using reduced-fat ice cream or yogurt. You can substitute chocolate sandwich cookies with whole-grain or gluten-free options. Allow the cake to sit out for 10-15 minutes before serving for easier cutting.
