Instructions
 

Create the Brown Sugar Syrup

  • Combine the brown sugar, water, vanilla extract, and a tiny pinch of salt in a small saucepan.
  • Over medium-low heat, stir the mixture gently for about 2-3 minutes until the sugar completely dissolves.
  • Allow the syrup to cool briefly.

Prepare the Matcha

  • Sift the matcha powder into a small bowl or measuring cup.
  • Pour warm water into the bowl with the sifted matcha.
  • Using a whisk, incorporate the two in quick zigzag motions for about 20-30 seconds until you achieve a smooth, glossy, and lightly foamy matcha mix.

Assemble Your Latte

  • Take a tall glass and spoon in the brown sugar syrup.
  • Add a generous amount of ice cubes.
  • Pour the cold oat milk into the glass.
  • Slowly pour the whisked matcha over the milk.
  • Sprinkle a hint of ground cinnamon on top for an aromatic finish, if desired.
