Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar. Mix until the crumbs are well coated.
  • Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish to form a crust.
  • Bake the crust in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, then allow it to cool completely.

Filling

  • In a separate bowl, blend together the key lime juice, sweetened condensed milk, and softened cream cheese until smooth.
  • Spread the key lime mixture evenly over the cooled crust.

Topping and Chilling

  • Top the mixture with whipped cream, spreading it evenly.
  • Chill the dessert in the refrigerator for at least four hours, preferably overnight.

Notes

Use fresh key lime juice for the best flavor. Allow the cream cheese to sit out to blend smoothly. Skipping the chilling time may lead to a runny filling.
