Ingredients

Shrimp and Seasoning

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled & deveined Tender and sweet
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning Aromatic and spicy

Fries

  • 1 bag frozen French fries Crispy and golden

Sauces and Toppings

  • 2 tbsp butter Rich and creamy
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese Melty and indulgent
  • 1/4 cup ranch or garlic aioli Creamy and flavorful
  • 1/4 cup spicy mayo or hot sauce Zesty and bold
  • to taste fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped Bright and fresh
  • to taste paprika or chili powder Optional for extra heat

Instructions

Preparation

  • Begin by baking or frying your French fries until they are golden and crispy. Season them with a touch of salt and a sprinkle of paprika for added depth of flavor.
  • In a large pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, add the shrimp seasoned generously with Cajun spice. Sauté them for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they turn a lovely pink and are tender yet juicy.

Assembly

  • Once your fries are crisp and piping hot, pile them onto a plate or tray. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese generously over the top, allowing it to melt slightly from the heat of the fries.
  • Scatter the sautéed shrimp evenly over the cheesy fries. Drizzle your choice of ranch or garlic aioli, along with the spicy mayo or hot sauce.
  • Finish off with a sprinkle of fresh herbs and optional chili powder. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For healthier alternatives, consider air-frying the fries or using whole grain or sweet potato fries. You can also substitute shrimp with grilled chicken or tofu.
