Marshmallow Hot Chocolate French Toast Bites

Ingredients

- 12 small rolls small sweet rolls, preferably Hawaiian-style rolls Soft, tender, and slightly sweet
- 1/2 cup marshmallow fluff Fluffy, sweet, and perfect for that gooey center
- 3 large eggs Providing richness and binding
- 3/4 cup half-and-half Creamy and luxurious
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Aromatic and warm
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon Fragrant with a hint of spice
- 1/8 teaspoon fine salt Enhances all the flavors
- 3 tablespoons salted butter Divided; for that irresistible buttery flavor
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar Sweet and crystalline
- 2 tablespoons hot chocolate mix Rich and chocolatey
- 1 cup warm hot chocolate For dipping; decadent and soothing
Instructions
Preparation
- Separate each sweet roll horizontally, leaving one edge attached to create a pocket.
- Fill each roll with about 2 teaspoons of marshmallow fluff and press them closed.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs, half-and-half, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and fine salt until smooth.
- In a shallow dish, combine granulated sugar and hot chocolate mix.
Cooking
- Dip each stuffed roll into the egg custard for 10-15 seconds, coating all sides evenly.
- Heat half the salted butter in a skillet over medium heat and cook half of the prepared rolls for 4-5 minutes, turning gently until golden brown.
- Repeat with the remaining butter and rolls.
- Roll the cooked bites in the cocoa sugar mixture until coated.
Serving
- Serve immediately with warm hot chocolate for dipping.
