  • Brew the Tea: Steep two hibiscus tea bags or two tablespoons of dried hibiscus flowers in one cup of boiling water for five to seven minutes, then cool.
  • Combine Ingredients: Pour the cooled tea into a blender, add the frozen pineapple, banana, coconut water, and lime juice.
  • Blend Away: Start on low speed, then increase to high and blend for 45 to 60 seconds until smooth.
  • Adjust Consistency and Sweetness: Add more coconut water if too thick and blend briefly; add agave syrup or honey if sweeter is desired.
  • Serve and Garnish: Pour into glasses and enjoy immediately, garnishing with fresh pineapple or mint if desired.

Notes

This smoothie is versatile for breakfast, snacks, and summer picnics. It can also be made into popsicle molds.
