  • 2 tablespoons olive oil A healthy fat that adds depth and flavor during cooking.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Aromatic garlic that infuses the dish with a warm and inviting essence.
  • 1 cup buffalo sauce Provides that signature spicy kick that makes your mouth water.
  • 1 tablespoon honey A touch of sweetness that balances out the heat of the buffalo sauce.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Adds creaminess, making the sauce rich and satisfying.
  • 8 oz pasta (penne or rigatoni) Perfect shapes to hold the sauce and beef, adding heartiness to the dish.
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese Melts into gooey strings, adding a delightful cheesy layer.
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese Enhances the richness with a nutty flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika Adds a subtle smokiness to the dish.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Essential for seasoning and enhancing flavors.
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish) A fresh touch that brightens up the dish before serving.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). This ensures that your casserole bakes evenly and the cheese gets deliciously melted.
  • In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  • While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the sliced steak with salt, pepper, and paprika. Add the steak to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the buffalo sauce and honey, stirring to combine. Bring the sauce to a simmer and let cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Reduce the heat and stir in the heavy cream, letting the sauce simmer for another 2 minutes. Then, add the cooked steak back into the skillet, allowing it to absorb the flavor of the sauce.
  • In a large baking dish, combine the cooked pasta and steak mixture. Stir in half of the mozzarella cheese and half of the Parmesan cheese, making sure everything is mixed well.
  • Top the pasta with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan, ensuring a cheesy layer that will melt beautifully.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly, filling your kitchen with a mouthwatering aroma.
  • Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving to add a burst of color and freshness.

Notes

For best results, choose sirloin or flank steak. Don’t overcook the pasta; it will continue to cook in the oven. Customize the heat by adjusting buffalo sauce or adding more honey. You can prep components a day ahead to save time.
