  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley For a pop of color and freshness.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil, then add the pasta, cooking according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, letting it sit to keep warm.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the chopped onion and sauté for about 3–4 minutes until softened and translucent.
  • Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for an additional 30 seconds, stirring until fragrant and aromatic.
  • Incorporate the ground beef into the skillet. Cook, breaking the meat apart with a spoon, until it is browned and fully cooked.
  • Stir in the cumin, paprika, oregano, salt, and black pepper, mixing well. Let the mixture simmer for approximately 2–3 minutes, allowing the spices to infuse the meat.
  • Stir in the tomato paste and cook for another minute before removing the skillet from heat.
  • In a small bowl, combine the Greek yogurt with the finely grated garlic and a pinch of salt. Mix until the yogurt becomes smooth and creamy, resulting in a delectable sauce.
  • In a separate small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Sprinkle in the red pepper flakes and let it gently sizzle for about 1–2 minutes, infusing the butter with warmth and spice.
  • To assemble, spread the warm pasta onto a serving platter. Generously spoon the garlicky yogurt evenly over the pasta, creating a creamy layer on top.
  • Top with the spiced beef mixture, allowing the flavors to mingle with the pasta below. Finally, drizzle the red pepper-infused butter generously over the dish for added flavor and visual appeal.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately for a beautiful presentation.

Notes

Always taste and adjust seasoning as you go; this ensures your dish is flavorful and balanced. Reserve a bit of pasta water to adjust the sauce's consistency if needed. When using yogurt, let it come to room temperature to avoid curdling when mixed with the hot pasta.
